Kanari’s management team is made up of highly experienced specialists within the IT sector. All of them have more than 20 years’ experience with a variety of different companies.
Philip Duns has a long carrier within sales and administration. With over 20 years in sales, Philip has a strong network in Northern Europe. Before co-founding Kanari in 2011, Philip had the role as Manager for Service Providers in Scandinavia for Compuware Nordic.
Michael Breen is responsible for the “What” in Kanari’s deliveries. He is constantly looking for ways to improve on Kanari’s Stability and Performance Analytics platform in cooperation with Kanari’s customers. In his previous roles with Kanari, he has served as Advisor, COO and CFO. Before co-founding Kanari in 2011, Michael served as ITSM architect in Compuware Nordic. Michael holds a degree in business law from “Høgskolen I Buskerud” in addition to his technical education from the IT Academy in Oslo.
Håvard joined Kanari in 2021 and is responsible for the Group’s finance, legal, HR and administration functions. Before joining Kanari, he served as Director M&A and Business Development at DeepOcean Group and as an Investment Banker at ABG Sundal Collier. Normann holds a master´s degree in industrial economics and technology management from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU).
Morten Hjalland is the Chief of Operations of Kanari, with responsibility for Delivery and Operation for all the services we deliver. He is also responsible for all consultants. Before joining Kanari in January 2021, Hjalland served as SVP in DNB with responsible for IT operation. He has experience from 25 years in IT operation, being on both sides, customer and vendors.
As Kanari´s Chief Revenue Officer (CRO), Daniel Lindqvist is resposnible for all sales and marketing. He also holds the responsibility for Kanari´s expansion in the Nordics and new markets, as well as managing the relationships with Kanari’s technology partners. Before joining Kanari’s executive management team, Daniel was responsible for Veritas operations in Sweden. For the past 20 years he has held senior positions with CA Technologies, Micro Focus, HPE, Citrix, Compurterworld and Avaya. He holds a degree in business administration and marketing for Uppsala University.
Partner Adelis Equity Partners and Board member at Kanari
Joel is a partner at Adelis Equity Partners where he is focused on technology investments across the Nordics. Prior to Adelis, Joel was a Managing Director at Audax Group, within its Private Equity team. At both Adelis and Audax, Joel has been involved the building of these respective firms into leaders in their market segments within their respective geographies. Joel holds a bachelor’s degree with concentration in entrepreneurship from Babson College.
Chairman of the Board
Magnus Sjöqvist is the chairman of the board of Kanari. He has various experience in several boards, including Accenture, KGH Customer Services and AddPro. His educational background is from Stockholm Business School.
Lene Stern is a member of the board of Kanari, and an owner representative from Adelis Equity Partners. At Adelis she is responsible for the Norwegian market. Lene has a background from the listed investment company Ratos and from McKinsey & Company, and current/previous board positions include Didriksons, Diab, HL Display, Gudrun Sjödén and BTJ. Lene Sandvoll Stern holds a master’s degree in business administration from the Norwegian School of Economics.
